Aspen Properties

With the support of skilled senior management Dr. Funk hired, and a pension fund partnership, Aspen Properties quickly became the fastest growing office commercial real estate company in Western Canada holding over 5,000,000 sqft of CBD office product. That business was sold, fortuitously in 2007/2008.

CML

By way of a very creative and supportive investment formula, a deep knowledge of the market, a strong marketing team, and a stated conservative investment philosophy, CML became, by a considerable amount, the largest, and also the best managed top tier Investor Funds in Canada. Over the course of 10 years into the late 1990's, CML managed over $250M in assets deployed in over $1.0B in venture investment values.

Imperial Parking

At the time of its acquisition, Imperial Parking oversaw about 10,000 parking stalls and generated gross revenue of approximately $50,000,000. By way of organic growth and roll-up acquisitions in both Canada and the U.S., Imperial Parking grew to over $250,000M in gross revenue, becoming by far the largest and most dominant player in Canada. The business was eventually sold to Onyx Corporation, which privatized the company and took it public a few years later in the U.S.
