Steven is passionate about fostering a future with greater peace and prosperity. Dr. Funk proudly supports various charitable endeavors and he has never forgotten his rural roots.

Dr. Funk was a founding financier and director of Unitus Capital, one of the early and now  largest boutique investment banking group in the microenterprise space having engaged in some 3 billion in microenterprise capital formation. Dr. Funk has served on the Innovations Board of the XPrize Foundation, supports the fight against ALS, was appointed Special Envoy to British Columbia for Film and Digital Media, donates to Canucks Kids Foundation, is a patron of TED, provides an annual college scholarship to students in Iowa, is a distinguished alumnus, and empowers critical community care in the Western Wyoming region.
